Shock election result for South West

Dorset Council has released the results for the European Election. The county – part of the South West region – has elected six Members of the European Parliament (MEP).

Over 41% of Dorset Council residents voted on 23 May. The newly formed Brexit party achieved the majority with their elected representative, Ann Widdecombe, gaining a majority of more than 50,000 votes.
