Please join us for our September breakfast on Tuesday, 11th September 2018 from 7.45am to 9.00am at ever-popular Carluccios in Dorchester.

Our speakers will be Paul Atterbury and Janet Gleeson from The Dorchester Literary Festival.

The Dorchester Literary Festival, now in its 3rd year, is an exciting cultural event for a town rich in literary associations. Picturesque Dorchester and the unspoiled countryside and dramatic coastal scenery surrounding it has inspired many of Britain’s best loved writers, including Thomas Hardy, T E Lawrence, William Barnes, Ian McEwan and Tracy Chevalier.

With a programme of events highlighting the latest books by today’s most original authors our new festival warmly welcomes book-lovers to this beautiful setting. Whether you want to hear about the latest historical, crime or romantic novels, interviews with eminent screen writers, or talks by intrepid explorers, royal biographers and eminent historians, there will be something to delight and amaze you.

The festival’s main events will be held from 17th to 21st October 2018 in the Victorian Hall of the County Museum, the Town Hall and Duke’s new galleries in Brewery Square.

Paul is an antiques expert, lecturer, museum curator as well as writer, and is best known as a specialist on The Antiques Roadshow.

Janet worked at Sotheby’s and Bonhams as a picture valuer before beginning to write. She is the author of seven books including the Sunday Times non fiction best sellers.  Both are directors of the literary festival.
