Please join us and Dorchester BID members on Tuesday, 26th June 2018 from 6.00pm to 8.00pm at the Corn Exchange for a fun Town Walk followed by a Quiz and a BBQ.
Tone up your muscles … body and brain … in a fun town walk, taking in all of Dorchester’s main attractions and highlights to be followed by a fun Quiz to test how well you know your town. The walk and quiz will be led by Dorchester’s very own ambassador Alistair Chisholm.
His enthusiasm and knowledge of Dorchester knows no bounds. Alistair has been President of Dorchester Chamber, was proactive in setting up the Dorchester BID and is also a member of the Dorchester Joint Heritage Committee and Chairman of the Carnival Committee. He has been the Town Crier of Dorchester since 1997 and has been National Champion Town Crier eight times.
Alistair has also been ‘Mayoress’ of Dorchester (his partner Kate was Mayor) – or Mayor’s Escort to use the correct but rather dodgy-sounding title!
Alistair is an experienced tour manager and guide. His relaxed and entertaining style will take us effortlessly around Dorchester.
The Brewhouse & Kitchen will provide a barbecue, included in the ticket price, to launch their newly refurbished garden area with beer tasting of some of the delicious beers brewed on-site by B&K’s master brewer. There will also be a raffle and tombola to raise funds for Julia’s House.
This is a collaborative event with Dorchester BID. Ticket price includes Tour and Barbecue.
