The Chamber is strictly non-political and non-sectarian. The Chamber takes its lead on policy from the membership. Full membership is open to any organisation in Dorchester and District whose primary function is business engaged in the fields of Commerce, Industry or Tourism.
Associate membership is open to those organisations that are not wholly of a business nature but have a commercial or educational element in their activites and have aims and objectives compatible with those of the Chamber.
The objective of the Chamber is -
The protection, promotion and extension of the trade and commerce of the town and district, and take other steps considered as necessary for the benefit or protection of the members and public of Dorchester and district.
