Dorchester is the distinguished County Town of Dorset which dates back to Roman times. Land and Property were rented both then and prior to this period all over Britain.
In the early 1900′s most of the population would have been renting from private landlords.
A few early landlords owned much of the property. This required legislation to control the quality of rental property.
Ownership increased until the 1990′s when the later editions of the Housing Act reduced the risk of problems with tenancies.
Assured short-hold tenancies have made the process much less problematic for landlords which in turn has ensured properties are offered at a much higher standard of presentation. Continue reading

The offices are open from 9.30am to 5.00pm on Mondays, 8.30am to 5.00pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 8.30am to 4.30pm on Fridays. We are closed for lunch from 1.00pm to 2.00pm every day. Continue reading
