Join us for our March breakfast to celebrate and acknowledge National Apprenticeship weekWeymouth College will sponsor and host the event at the  successful campus-based The Avenue Restaurant, dedicated to developing and training the finest young chefs and restaurant staff.

The students train and work in a fully functioning kitchen, restaurant and bar gaining the skills and the high standards needed for a career in the catering industry.  We will enjoy the fruits of their labour and allow them to showcase their skills.

We will also hear some success stories, find out more about the benefits of taking on an apprentice, dispel some of the myths and learn how these opportunities can improve local economic growth by improving the skills, wages and future career progression of participating individuals.  They can also impact substantially on the productivity of those firms taking on apprentices.

*National Apprenticeship week runs from 4th to 8th March 2019 and is coordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service.  It is designed to celebrate apprenticeships and the positive impact they have on individuals, businesses and the wider economy.  The National Apprenticeship Service is part of the Education and Skills Funding Agency, which is an executive agency of DfE, set up to coordinate and promote the delivery of apprenticeships in England.

Weymouth & Portland Chamber of Commerce Members will be eligible for Member Rate – please put Member of WPCC in the Description field.

Places are limited to 2 per member until after bookings close.  If you’d like an additional place, please email and you will be advised on availability before the event.

If you opt to pay on the day, there will be a £2 per person surcharge.  Please bring correct change.
