Peter Greenaway

Peter has been part of the Chamber Executive since 2015 and was previously Vice President for three years. With a background in operations management and then specialising in HR Management, he works as an HR consultant supporting a number of local businesses with all their people management needs. He also spends a lot of time breeding sport horses near Piddlehinton, specialising in dressage, show jumping and eventing, though he hasn’t been on a horse himself for many years.

Steve Bulley
Vice President

Steve spent two years as Vice President and a 3-year Presidential term and is currently Chair of the Christmas Cracker Event and assists the Chamber with communications and the website. Former Managing Director and presenter at a local radio station. He now devotes his time to various business interests which include property management, marketing portfolio and Portable Appliance Testing.  Having served on the committee for nine years he brings a wealth of experience to the executive team.

Jon Edge

Jon is a Chartered Certified Accountant at Milsted Langdon, where he acts for a variety of clients, ranging from self-employed individuals to medium sized Companies, specialising in accountancy, tax and business advice. Jon has been Treasurer and overseer of the Chamber’s finances for a number of years.

Hazel Serkis

Hazel was appointed by the Executive as Secretary in March 2021. She owns Signature Office Support and has over 20 years' experience working as an administrator and PA within different industries including, healthcare, education, and finance producing high quality professional work.

Julia Cohen

Julia joined the Executive in 2017, she has assisted the Chamber with the development of skills and training and is now working with the events committee to deliver a calendar of business events and networking opportunities for members.  

Former Head of School for Hospitality, Hair & Beauty and then Head of External Partnerships at Weymouth College, during 15 years of service, she forged strong partnership links with education and business, always with a firm belief in collaboration and that we are stronger when we work together, 

Julia is now also working closely with Weymouth & Portland Chamber of Commerce as their Vice President. 

Passionate about Dorset, Business, Economic Recovery and Growth, Julia is honoured to have the opportunity to serve on Dorchester Chamber for the 5th year.  

Steve Farnham

Steve was President from 2017 to 2020 and has been a member of the executive since 2012. Over that period, he has been involved on the various committees of the executive and has enjoyed his year as president representing the chamber’s interests at town council meetings and liaising with the other local authorities, Dorchester BID, other local chambers and the LEP. Steve is a partner at Porter Dodson solicitors, practicing in commercial property.

Caroline Paul

Caroline has been a member of the Dorchester Chamber Executive for 10 years. She owns and runs Giants Head Caravan Camping Park at Cerne Abbas and is a long standing Trail Writer for Treasure Trails, writing Trails in Dorset, New Forest and South Devon. In a ‘previous life’ she spend 25 years in Financial services advising on investments, pensions and mortgages.

Rick Simmonds

Having grown up in Wareham, and attended Weymouth College and with over a quarter of a century’s experience in communications, Rick returned to Dorchester in 2017 as Managing Director of the local commercial radio station; now Greatest Hits Radio. Over the last year, Rick has been working with local entrepreneurs and SMEs to assist them in public speaking, presentation and podcasting. He has built a strong network of community and business contacts – and he volunteers with local charities, Rotary and Chambers (among others) to this day.

Claire Southway

Claire is a Senior Associate in the Litigation and Disputes team at Farnfields.  Claire has specialised in commercial and property disputes for 13 years.  Having served on the Executive Committee for the past year Claire has found the role so rewarding during a difficult year, as the Executive was able to provide support to members new and old, as well as the local community.

Claire is keen conservationist, and collects recyclable materials from Farnfields for Damers First School to assist with Plastic Free Dorchester.  Claire also helps promote innovation and growth in and around Dorchester.

Georgina Wakely

Gina is Mayor’s secretary and clerk to the Planning and Environment Committee for Dorchester Town Council. She organises the Town’s Civic events and works closely with many of the town’s community groups, businesses and organisations. Gina has lived in Dorchester all her life and enthusiastically supports the many businesses and events in the Town. She enjoys walking her Border Collie in her spare time.
