Dorchester Chamber and Dorchester BID are putting on a special workshop to help retail businesses make the most of their image and brand their windows on the run up to Xmas.
Themed window displays, dressing mannequins and the layout of a store are examples of visual merchandising and how product display can be used artistically to capture the attention and interest of shoppers.
Mel Bowen from Miss Marsh Styling will be leading a Window Dressing/Visual Merchandising Workshop to give tips on styling your window for Xmas and beyond.
Mel has over 20 years in visual merchandising, working for top brands and familiar high street names such as Laura Ashley, The White Company and Brissi. She now works as a freelance stylist, designing and creating inspirational styling for Woods Furniture and other brands to make their visions a reality. Mel also provides in-store theatre and merchandising as well as photographic art direction and styling for Country Living Magazine and other publications.
