Dorset County Hospital Charity is calling for participants to join the Jurassic Coast Challenge on 17-18 May 2025, to raise money urgently needed for the hospital’s Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit Appeal.
The one-off event debuted in 2021. This September the event will return for an enhanced second edition 4 years on taking place at Winterborne Kingston, Dorset on Wednesday 24th September 2025.
Funding from the fourth round of the Museum Estate and Development Fund (MEND) has just been announced, seeing 29 museums up and down the country receiving a share of almost £25 million to upgrade their buildings including Dorchester Museum & Art Gallery.
Hospital patients in Dorchester can enjoy art in a new way with a project celebrating 35 years of art in Dorset County Hospital. A Sense of Place brings the art to you wherever you are with a collection of stories and sounds you can listen to on your mobile phone.
A major bequest has funded the redevelopment of Dorset County Hospital’s Prince of Wales Renal Unit. Dorset County Hospital’s Haemodialysis Unit and Prince of Wales Ward form the renal hub for in-centre renal replacement therapy across Dorset and South Somerset.
