Chamber member makes the finals of the Dorset Echo Industry Awards

Congratulations to Jordans Jewellers who have made it through to the finals of the Dorset Echo Industry Awards, in Best Overall Retailer category.

The judges of this year’s awards were Dorset Echo editor Diarmuid MacDonagh, Richard Drax MP, Alan Burt, Julia Cohen, and Andrew Knowles. Diarmuid MacDonagh revealed the awards had attracted “an exceptionally high” number of nominations.

“These awards celebrate and showcase the best of business in this area. We believe it is important to highlight the many companies, across myriad sectors, which make such a huge contribution to our economy,” said Diarmuid.

Sandy Jordan (right), also a member of the Executive Committee of Dorchester Chamber for Business and Dorchester BID, said she is extremely proud to be in the finals.

“When we heard that we had been nominated and were in fact finalists, we were totally thrilled!  What an honour. The girls and I could not be more proud and are very much looking forward to the event,” said Sandy.  “Our nomination  for Best Overall Retailer is amazing.”

The finals will be announced at the Industry Awards Ceremony Dinner on Friday 15th June, 6pm at Weymouth College, Cranford Avenue. Finalists and sponsors will sit down to a three-course menu.
