Dorset Councils Reorganisation Consultation

Dorset’s councils are considering reducing the number of local authorities in the county from nine to two, and want to hear your views about the changes being proposed.

With funding continuing to reduce, councils need to re-think the way they are structured in the future. If savings cannot be made, services will suffer even greater cuts beyond 2019 or stop altogether. Councillors will make a decision in early 2017 on how your council services will be delivered in the future. If you live in Bournemouth, Dorset or Poole, it is important that we hear your views.

Please click here to read the information document or go to reshapingyourcouncils.uk for further information. If you have any queries about completing the questionnaire or need assistance to do so, please call ORS on 0800 3112126 or email

Opinion Research Services have been selected to run the consultation on behalf of all nine councils in Dorset. Forms will be independently processed by ORS. ORS adhere fully to the Data Protection Act 1998. Feedback from individuals will be anonymous, but views from organisations may be published in full.

Please complete this questionnaire by Tuesday 25th October.
