Mental health first aid helps to spot early warning signs in someone who is struggling and to prevent their mental health condition getting worse. This can be done by encouraging them to seek the relevant help whilst providing hands-on first aid skills first aid to prevent a crisis.
1 in 6 people, or approximately 45.8 million adults, report experiencing symptoms for common mental health problems, like anxiety and depression, at any given time.
