FROM TEMP TO HEAD OF DEPARTMENT – ONE PERSON’S 20 YEAR JOURNEY

Local Solicitors Pardoes has just announced the appointment of a new head of its successful and well established criminal law team.

Cindy Scobie started working as a temp at Pardoes in 1997 – at the same time studying to qualify as a Chartered Legal Executive via distance learning.  Cindy’s early potential was recognised when Pardoes offered her a full time position and to also support her continuing legal training.

Her feeearning work started in the personal injury and family departments, but she then she moved to the criminal law  team when the decision was taken by Pardoes to undertake criminal work.

Cindy qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in June 2004 and has extensive experience in dealing with serious crime and cases committed to the Crown Court throughout the South West.  Not content to rest on her laurels, she enjoys music and festivals and is the vocalist in a local five piece band – her talents even extend to organising the annual Pardoes staff Christmas party.

Guy Adams, Pardoes’ Managing Partner, said the firm was delighted to be able to appoint a new head of the criminal law  team from within.

“It demonstrates both our commitment to promote internally where possible and the strength and depth of our team here at Pardoes. I am even more delighted that this thoroughly well-deserved promotion is another milestone for Cindy and caps such a successful career for her here at Pardoes”.
