In case you don’t know, the data protection regime in the UK will be changing next year. You may have seen in the news recently that we’re getting a new Data Protection Act which will implement the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) into UK law. The GDPR is an EU wide law which comes into force in May 2018 and enhances our current data protection regime.
If your business processes (uses, stores, collects, processes) personal data, then you’ll be affected, particularly if you use consent as the lawful basis for processing (typically, but not limited to, marketing).
Mark has set up a set of 45-minute consultations to help businesses across Dorset. They’re ideal if you have any questions about how the changes may impact your business. These consultation surgeries will be held on 27th September in Bournemouth.
