Battens Solicitors is calling local business to have fun and play volleyball for charity

Battens Solicitors is asking local businesses to don their shorts and raise money for charity at its annual fun-filled volleyball tournament on Thursday 26 July on Weymouth beach.

The fundraiser is in its 11th year and has raised more than £10,000 to date for some great local causes including the Kingfisher Children’s Ward at Dorset County Hospital, Weldmar Hospice Care for Dorset, and Wyvern Academy.

Sarah Ford, Solicitor at Battens and one of the event organisers said: “This is one of our most popular events where local businesses embrace the summer spirit to raise money for a local charity.”

“For anyone who hasn’t taken part before – get involved! It’s a fantastic evening, and a great team- building and networking exercise for people of all abilities, that also raises much needed funds. What’s more, each team can nominate a charity of their choice to benefit. The names of all the charities are put into a hat on the day of the event and the one drawn, receives a donation of at least £1000.”

Sign your team up now by going to www.battens.co.uk/volleyball – Entries cost £85 per team. The tournament begins at 5pm, with matches starting at 6pm. Spectators welcome.
