100 & First Foundation supports offenders to transition from prison into society with the skills to thrive and the mindset to make positive choices.
We do this through sport: our mentors coach cohorts in 8-week skills development programmes at HMP The Mount and HMP Portland, and participants showcase their change to family, friends and their community through a competitive fitness competition.
It’s part of longer potential journey of support: paid employment with one of our partner organisations, finding a home to rent, building a network, and one-to-one mentorship. An opt-in approach supports participants’ confidence and meets their needs without overwhelming them.
