Local radio in Dorchester for another 5 years

Dorchester based community radio station KeeP106 has been awarded a 5-year licence extension from regulator Ofcom.

The radio station that covers Dorchester and central Dorset from its studio at The Little Keep in the county town.

Research has found Radio across the UK has 39.2m listeners every week with 88% of the population listening each week and is one of the most trusted forms of media in the UK.

The study also highlighted the power of radio for businesses. Radio remains an emotional influencer with power to enhance brand perceptions at a subconscious level; delivering an average return on investment of £7.70 for every pound spent.

Kieran Williams Programme Director said: “KeeP106 combines traditional radio with a loyal following on social media channels which enhances our reach within the community.”
