DCCI Quarterly Economic Survey

The British Chambers of Commerce Quarterly Economic Survey (QES) is the largest and most representative independent business survey of its kind in the UK. Each quarter 7,000 businesses participate in the QES. Businesses are questioned on a wide range of issues, including: home sales and orders, export sales and orders, employment prospects, investment, recruitment difficulties, cashflow, confidence and price pressures.

The QES is the first economic indicator of the quarter, published in advance of official figures and other private surveys, and it consistently mirrors trends in official data.

This survey includes specific questions for Dorset businesses on the issues and challenges faced at a local level. These findings will be shared with members, the affiliated Town Chambers in Dorset and key stakeholders such as local authorities and the Dorset Local Enterprise Partnership. The survey results will form a barometer of how businesses are feeling, provide grassroots data and identify issues which need addressing, both at a local and national level.

The survey is very quick to compete and will take less than 5 minutes.  Please tick Dorchester and Chamber Code 32 to ensure the results are shared with us.
