Only a couple weeks to go until the 10th Anonymous Festival!

Only a couple weeks to go until the Anonymous Festival returns for its 10th year, offering even better music and activities than previous years! Anonymous Festival, THE annual festival for celebrating youth music in Dorset, will be held on Saturday August 25th 2018 in Maumbury Rings, Dorchester. Gates open at 11am, with music from noon until 6pm.

Entry to the event is free and there are loads of free activities including old favourites such as the bungee run, climbing wall, and bouncy castle, fabulous arts and crafts, dance and circus! Activities will run throughout the day providing entertainment for all ages!

This year welcomes the return of the mainstage, hosting artists such as the Hyper Vypers, Pizza for Dogs and Dream Phazer, all of whom are making their first appearance at Anonymous alongside the 2018 headliner Kate Stapley. They are also welcoming back Decimal 5 and The Salt, two acts that have performed in previous years,Hyper Vypers to provide us with brand new original material. All in all, the day will serve up an eclectic mix of styles to suit all tastes.

Alongside this, the Open Mic stage will offer up alternative acts, such Lyd Read, Bella Beney and The Strayhearts. Make sure to also keep your eyes peeled for previous mainstage artists. Some will be returning to provide entertainment.

The SaltThis years Anonymous Festival, which is organised by the youth forum Dorchester Youth Extra (DYE), is being run in partnership with the Antix Music Network, ‘the hub for all things music in Yeovil.’ Frazer Mitchell, from the Antix Music Network, believes that this year’s Anonymous will be the best ever. ‘We have got loads of extra little quirks planned throughout the day, making for a fantastic event for any ages. We are also inviting the skills of the Antix artists, so those that enjoy live music really shouldn’t miss this!’

There will also be a range of delicious food and snacks on sale.

“I think people will be impressed with the quality of this event and well as the high standard of musicianship. Also, with it being the end of the summer holidays, I am sure that everyone will appreciate being able to spend a day out without breaking the bank!”

And for those who enjoy their outdoor music, there are further events taking place at Maumbury Rings including the Love Parade on Sunday the 26th August and the Live Music Day on Monday 27th August. This well-loved local event, hosted by Dorchester Town Council kicks off at 1.30pm and will provide a superb programme of live entertainment culminating in an exciting performance from the Coyote Party Band.
