The Chamber is very pleased that there will be no further cuts to the Police following the recent spate of commercial break-ins in Dorchester. The continuation of Small Business Rate Relief until 2017 is welcomed and the ability for Local Councils to set business rates in the future is an opportunity for the current system to be potentially fairer for our members. The Chamber is disappointed at the Apprenticeship levy which appears to be an employment tax to business, as always the devil will be in the detail.
